White River Paddle Days & Festival
Set your worries aside and enjoy some time in nature and on the water with Free Paddle Days!
About Free Paddle Days
The White River Alliance, in cooperation with the White River Canoe Company, is again offering six Free Paddle Days to help groups of friends and colleagues enjoy the river. We hope that a day on the water will continue to foster your connection to the river and recharge your commitment to helping us protect it.
Two of the paddles days are in conjunction with river clean-ups – one with Conner Prairie and the cities of Carmel and Fishers, the other with the City of Noblesville. The other four paddle days will also have themes that will provide paddlers a chance to show off their love for plants and animals!
General Paddle Days
These Paddle Days feature the Rusty Oar to River Road Kayak Trip. Trip check-in and parking is easy at the White River Canoe Company’s River Rd. livery location (17180 River Rd., Noblesville, IN). Participants depart via shuttle bus from the livery to the drop-in location up river at the Rusty Oar property (near the Clare dam) and then enjoy a 2-3 hour paddle/float back to the River Rd. livery. These Paddle Days include a single kayak rental and require a refundable $20 deposit. Deposit is non-refundable for no-shows.
Friday, August 12 & Sunday, August 14 – Show off your love of plants & flowers – wear your favorite flowered swimsuit or Hawaiian-style shirt! Pick up a free native seed packet or two at check-in and support cleaner water through your love of native landscaping at home!
Friday, August 19 & Sunday, August 21 – Show off your love of animals, wildlife or pets – wear your favorite animal print swimsuit, or flamingo trunks, or dog-mom T-shirt or whatever animal you love! Pick up a free roll of pet poo bags, pet bandana, or pollinator seed packet and support cleaner water through your animal-friendly actions at home!

Paddlers will be provided gloves and trash bags and be paddling 2-person canoes, not kayaks, in order to ensure space for trash and other debris to be collected.
