SUMMARY:Stormwater Action Team Storm Drain Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Join the KIB Clean Neighborhoods team in partnership with the White River Alliance for a cleanup to refresh the storm drains in Eagledale and James Foster Gaines Park! Cleaning litter from stormwater inlets helps improve our water quality while protecting our waterways\, local wildlife\, and ecosystems from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean\, but it takes all of us doing our part! \nSafety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing\, long sleeves\, long pants\, and close-toed\, sturdy shoes. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies\, such as litter grabbers\, gloves\, and trash bags. \nParking and Facilities: Parking will be available at James Foster Gaines Park (2100 N Tibbs Ave). A portable restroom will be available for use. \nTransportation Information: IndyGo Buses #25 stop at Walmart Laf Road (a 16 minute walk to the project).
